🦊 Terry Fox School Run

Dear Cataraqui Woods Families,

We had an incredibly exciting week at school, kicked off by our energetic Terry Fox Pep Rally! The energy in the gym was electric as our students and staff came together to celebrate Terry’s legacy and launch our annual fundraising campaign goals for cancer research.

To help inspire our school community to reach new heights this year, we have set some amazing fundraising milestones. If we work together and hit these targets, our staff has agreed to some hilarious challenges:

  • $5,000 Goal: Selected students will get to throw a pie in the face of participating staff members!
  • $6,000 Goal: Selected students will get to dump buckets of ice water over staff members' heads!
  • $7,000 Goal: The entire school will celebrate with a massive, school-wide outdoor play day!
  • The highest fundraising class will win a pizza party!  Mrs. Mailloux is currently leading the way!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've already raised close to $2,500.00. Every donation, big or small, helps continue Terry's dream of a world without cancer. Here's how to donate today:

  1. Please visit our website,  https://schools.terryfox.ca/131130  (or use the following QR code)

    1. From there, you can click on “Donate”
    2. Then click on “Donate to this school” or “Donate to a classroom”
    3. If you donate to a classroom, please click on the “Teacher Name” of which you want to donate.
    4. From there, please fill out the required information.
    5. Tax Receipt information is also available there.

Also, PLEASE SHARE THE FUNDRAISING PAGE ON YOUR SOCIALS!

As a result of your dedication, shared energy, and donations, we are making a meaningful contribution toward cancer research and keeping Terry's dream alive.

Volunteering at Cat Woods

E-scooters are easy to find, but they aren't toys and aren't designed for kids. In Ontario, you must be at least 16 years old to ride wherever e-scooters are permitted.

In Kingston, e-scooters are not currently permitted. The City is developing a Micromobility Regulations Strategy — with updated rules around e-scooters, e-bikes and other lightweight, rideable transportation — to support safe, accessible and sustainable travel around Kingston. The strategy, which considers public engagement feedback and research into best practices, will be presented to Council for consideration later this year.
