Nominations are anonymous and you can nominate yourself or someone else for a position. If you are nominating someone, please ensure they are up for the position and have agreed to your nomination. The person you nominate must be available to be present at the meeting. Your nomination does not count as a vote; you must be present to vote. Nominations are due by 11am on Monday September 21, 2026.
Great! The nomination form will need to be sent out by email at least 2 weeks before the first meeting. The first meeting is scheduled for September 21st. So if you could send it out towards the end of next week that would be great.

🅿️Driving and Parking Guide
We encourage our parents and students to walk, cycle or take the school bus instead of using cars to get to school. We do understand that there may be circumstances when you need to drive your child to school. If you need to do so, for the safety of your child, their friends, and our neighbours, please drive and park safely and legally. The area immediately in front of the school is a designated Kiss & Ride from 8:55 am to 9:20 am on school days. During this time, you are permitted to stop for a MAXIMUM of 3 minutes, and you MUST stay with your vehicle. Do not leave children in vehicle unattended. If you need to walk your child into the school yard, please use one of the legal parking street parking spots marked on the street.
In addition, please do not walk through the parking lot to access the school yard. Please use the sidewalk just to the left of the parking lot.
🚨The staff parking lot is for STAFF ONLY.
This is a no access zone to non-staff members.
🦊 Cataraqui Woods Elementary School Terry Fox Campaign is Coming!
Dear Cataraqui Woods Families,
We are excited to announce that Cataraqui Woods Elementary School will soon be launching our annual Terry Fox Campaign! This important school-wide initiative celebrates the inspiring legacy of Terry Fox while helping raise funds to support cancer research. Thanks to your efforts and generosity, we have been able to raise over $6,500 in each of the last two years!
Over the coming weeks, students will be learning about Terry's incredible story and how they can make a difference in the lives of others. Our campaign will culminate with our Terry Fox Walk on Friday, October 9th, when the entire school community will come together to show our support and school spirit.
🎉 We're Looking for Prize Donations!
To help build excitement and encourage participation, we are hoping to hold several prize draws for students during the campaign. We are currently seeking donations of items, experiences, gift cards, or services valued at $100 or more that could be used as draw prizes.
If you, your family, or a local business you know would be interested in donating a prize, please contact Mr. De Wys (dewysr@limestone.on.ca). Your generosity will help motivate our students while supporting a cause that impacts so many families. Donations will be accepted until Friday, September 25.
📣 Pep Rally Coming Soon!
A school-wide Terry Fox Pep Rally will be held in the near future to officially kick off the campaign and share all of the exciting details with students. We can't wait to build enthusiasm as we work together toward our fundraising goals!
❤️ More Information to Come
Additional information regarding fundraising opportunities, online donations, campaign goals, and our Terry Fox Walk will be shared with families soon.
Together, let's make this year's Terry Fox Campaign our best yet! Every step, every donation, and every act of support helps continue Terry's dream of a world without cancer.
Thank you for your continued support of this meaningful cause.
Again, If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. De Wys (dewysr@limestone.on.ca).
